L'Aurore
L'Aurore, which in English translates to The Dawn, is one of four statues depicting the times of day. The others are called The Day, The Twilight, and The Night and were sculpted specifically for the gardens that were only formed in the late 1860s.

François Jouffroy (1806-1882) was a French sculptor. he joined the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1824. In 1832 he won the Prix de Rome.He was a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts from 1865 until his death.
