Filippo Gnaccarini, sometimes referred to as Gnaccherini (1804-1875) was an Italian sculptor. He studied at the National Academy of San Luca , later becoming a teacher. He was a follower of Antonio Canova , upon his death he entered the circle of Bertel Thorvaldsen . He was faithful to Neoclassicism ; in works from the 1950s, with however an inclination towards Purism
